1 note

Over the last year I have noticed my eyes having problems focusing on things both up close and far away. I first accredited it to being on the computer every day for 8 hours, but then noticed that they still felt blurry over the weekends.
I went and had my first full eye exam since I was in elementary school and found that I have an astigmatism. My body can no longer compensate for my odd shaped cornea, so I need glasses.
There is only one glitch in this whole thing. I have never liked how I looked in glasses. I always felt that I looked to teachery. When I first gave in to get the exam I was a little upset because I didn’t think I would ever find a pair that I would feel comfortable wearing in public. However, since my poor eyesight is preventing me from one of my favorite past times….. reading, I have given in and was determined to find a pair.
The lady at the Hour Eyes was a great help, plus having a smart phone to text photos to friends for truthful opinions. After an hour, I found some glasses that I am happy with.
I can pick them up in about a week and a half. I am looking forward to being able to see the world in detail again. Might just feel like a “I’m reborn” kind of moment.
